2 Stars May be OK for small TV’s
This product is titled “for dummies” and having bought 2 of these I am now certain I qualify. It is supposedly suitable for TV’s up to 42 inches and c80lbs in weight. I bought 2 (based on Amazon recommendation) for my new 42 inch Toshiba TV’s.

I am a structural engineer and have completed many home improvemnt products so I think I know the right tool for the job when I see it – upon opening the box I instinctively thought “this looks too small and unstable for a large TV” but decided to give benefit of the doubt and try it anyway.

The 2 small lag screws provided to fix the device to a single stud looked way too small for me so I added an additional batten behind the wall and installed 5.5 inch through bolts instead. The instructions are pretty poor – I think anyone unused to such projects would be confused and not figure out why so many surplus screws, bolts, washers and shims are provided (I am still not sure myself!). However I found what I needed, put the thing together and mounted the tv.

Instantly I was unhappy with the way that the tv wobbles around the single support axis, and how, despite the fact that the support was put in perfectly level, the TV sits at a drunken angle against the wall (the support is simply not stiff enough to counter any slight eccentricity in the weight of the TV).

My greatest frustration however was how easy it was to strip the threads on the adjusting nuts (I managed to do this to at least one without really trying) and also how the sockets in the nuts for the supplied allen key adjusting wrench can (and were) easily rounded off during the process of trying to turn them at an awkward angle behind the tv.

I now have a listing TV attached to a support which I can no longer properly adjust and which gives me little comfort that it can support the c75lbs my TV weighs in the long term. Despite the installation of through bolts all this load applied to a very small area causes the wall to creak and flex alarmingly every time I move the TV!

I have returned the second device without even attempting to use it and cant wait to replace the one I did use with something more suitable for the job.

In summary, may be an economical option for small TV’s but not very robust or well made and certainly not man enough for the range of sizes claimed by the manufacturers.

I intend to go with my original gut feel and go with something much sturdier that will spread load across 2 studs.

two lag bolts small holding up 2 thousand dollar aquos tv equals extreme apprehension. typical example of if it sounds to good to be true it probably is. it will good for smaller tv.

5 Stars It does what it says it does
I looked over numerous types of these devices. Not very many actually do split your input and allow multiple devices to be used without some other issues. This one does. It works perfectly with no loss of detail or similar problems. Don’t try to cheap it out. You’ll be sorry. I running a BR player, PC and game into one input on the TV. The switchability is great.

1 Star Product arrived with missing parts-
I order the “HDmi 3X1 Switch with remote Hdmi/hdmi Cable 6 by Pure AV” the product arrived late with missing parts. Requested the saler provide the missing parts (or an explination) and never got a response. DON’T PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS SELLER OR YOU’LL BE SORRY!!!

5 Stars Works on long hdmi runs
I have a 40 foot hdmi run from a closet with the A/V equimpment to the TV. The Belkin switcher worked perfect. Also I was able to create macros with my RF remote to switch the Belkin hdmi source. I switch between the DirecTV HD DVR and my Onkyo A/V Receiver. DVD player goes through the A/V receiver. I had read that some brands of switchers had trouble with certain sources or long runs but the Belkin has worked flawless.

5 Stars Heavy duty, worth the money
This arm is used to support a 23″ LCD tv. It was easy to install and it moves the TV with ease. It also has a slight tilt up and down which gives the Tv a better viewing angle. Certainly worth the price!

As usual, Amazon handled and delivered my order promptly. The description was accurate and complete. This is a great wall mount. It is sturdy and easily installed. The trick is getting the television on the mount after it is on the wall. You need a helper.

5 Stars Solid Product – Works great with my 32″ LCD TV
Before you go buy a cheaper fixed mount for your new TV consider this product as an excellent alternative just in case the layout of your room changes or you need to pivot the tv to avoid window glare or other light source. It mounts easily with two huge screws and will collapse almost completely to the wall. When extended, it will allow the TV to be completely perpendicular to the wall. It is solidly built and doesn’t wobble at all. I have a 32″ LCD mounted to it. One bit of advice; mount it just above or below your wall outlets so that the arm can completely collapse against the wall. I had to remount mine a little higher because I didn’t do that to start with.

5 Stars Great mount for the price
I ordered one of these for my wife because she wanted to mount her 24″ monitor on the wall to free up some disk space. This is a very versatile mount but installation could be a little tricky because it is all one piece. When I mounted it to the desk, it was easy because I placed the monitor on a stack of books set at the desired height. We ordered a 2nd mount to mount a TV in the corner of our dining room. Because it was high off the ground, I had to attach the mount to the wall, then hold the TV up while my wife attached the screws to the back. All in all, great mount for the price, highly recommended!

The thing has no friction to keep it in place, and no locking position to keep from moving. I had to fashion something witha C clamp It was rocking all over in the RV. Next to useless

1 Star DISSATISFIED
The $25 wall mount (can be called an articulating arm) claims to be able to support 33#, both in a horizontal and vertical direction. It could not support my iMac, 24″, weighing 23.5#. The monitor’s weight could not be supported vertically as the flat screen flopped downward to the maximum downward tilt with the the horizontal hinge torqued to its limits. This made the mount unuseable requiring return. The Bretford mount on the Apple site looks similar but cost $129. I returned the flexible tilt mount and purchased a fixed (no tilt) wall mount which worked fine. The inexpensive price proved costly as I paid almost an equal $25 price for the initial shipping $9, the return shipping $9 plus a 15% restocking fee, as per Amazon’s policies.

I can not be sure the weight distribution played a factor, as I doubt the specific product was a defective unit.

Wow! And just in time for football season. Deep, rich picture with great clarity. No negatives whatsoever.

3 Stars noise at the back
The TV’s image is good. However, the is loud noise coming from the back of the TV is horrible. Even more surprising allegedly non-existing. I will never buy a samsung product again. They spit in your face with a smile. Their service providers do not want to come and provide service and find creative reasons not to come (e.g., normal noise, you should manage to remove the TV from the wall by yourself, etc.). Amazon is indifferent re how Samsung victimizes Amazon’s customers. This is very disapinting considering the “stage” Amazon provides to Samsung and thus, it’s pwer to oblige Samsung to provide minimum of decency. Bottom line, do not even think about it!!!

3 Stars Beautiful, but buzzes like no other
You know that electronic hum your old CRT would make back in the day? Take that and times it by 100 and you’ll have the buzz emanating from the back of this monster. The picture is fantastic, but the buzz is UNBEARABLE (think 20′ away at normal volume levels and it’s clear as day!). Unfortunately this is a VERY common problem and if you venture over to AVSForum you’ll find threads dedicated to this issue. Consensus is that the power supply is the culprit and it gets worse the more white (more power to make a white screen) you have in your picture.

I managed to quell the roar by wedging a roll of scotch tape between the lower left hand side of the TV and the wall, which would seem to indicate the power supply is causing the outer housing to vibrate. Regardless, some have found this trick to work, some haven’t, and some haven’t had a problem at all.

So all in all the picture like I said is beautiful, and with the roll of tape I’m happy as a clam. Once I have the time and once I hear people getting replacements that address and not duplicate the issue, I’ll give Samsung a ring.

Now that I think about it, I should call them now…I really shouldn’t have to wedge a roll of tape behind my TV to make it right. Taking the buzz away from the review and I’d give this TV five starts all day long. Picture is truly mesmerizing.

Caveat Emptor

5 Stars solid plasma for the price
Going on 4 weeks now with our samsung and am very pleased. We purchased the pn63b550 based on a samsung 52 inch we have and love. This unit surpasses our other(which we paid the same price for a year anda half ago) in every way, from size, picture to out/inputs (We are using hdmi through our cabel box, our bluray player, and our xbox360 plus an optical cable for AUX audio. I would recommend utilizing all these as they make a huge difference on this unit) The touch screen controls on the console all function very well and the setup is easy to use. The contrast ratio is very high and the over all picture quality is great. It isn’t as good as some of samsungs higher models such as the new LED but at the price I would choose this 63″ over a 50″ (for even more money) everytime. This is a great budget minded unit with all the bells and whistles and the perfect base for someone looking to create a home theater setup.

5 Stars Great Very Large Flat-Screen Option!
I’ve been looking for a reasonably-priced, high-performance flat-screen HDTV over 60 inches for a long time, and the new Samsung 63-inch low-energy plasma HDTV fits my needs in every way. Amazon started selling this set just a few months ago and has a price that beats all the local merchants, and they ship it free. I had to wait a couple of weeks for it, but it was well worth the wait. The shipper handled it with “kid gloves”, air freighting it from Washington state to Hartford, CT and then trucking it to my house. They brought it in, unpacked it, and turned it on to make sure it worked properly before they left. I mounted it on the wall with a great mount (Sanus) that Amazon sells, and everyone who has seen it has been “blown away” by its performance. The picture is very sharp and the colors just pop out at you, yielding and almost 3D effect. The blacks are very clear and detailed, just like a great plasma set should be. I’m sure it helps that I get a very fine picture from Dish Network, which now has a lot of HD channels available. It also works very well (great picture) with my current DVD player, which has component video output (no HDMI). This makes me reluctant to get a Blue Ray player, because they still seem to have a lot of problems (DVD rejections and no memorized stops). All-in-all I couldn’t be happier and I’m glad I waited to get the right system to fit my needs.
