Articulating Plasma Flat Panel TV Wall Mount for 32 55 MP32b 1Km

With this versatile wall mount, there isn’t a bad seat in the house. The dual articulating arm, which attaches to any wall, creates the perfect viewing angle for your TV with 180 degree lateral rotation, tilt and swivel. The Articulating LCD Wall Arm supports most 32″ up to 55″ plasma TV. It folds flat against the wall or extends out up to 15″. The two-link arm design provides easy one-touch tilt and up to 180 degrees of swivel for virtually limitless viewing positions. Fits most flat panel LCD or plasma TVs up to 55″. Heavy-gauge steel construction. Lift-N-Lock design offers easy installation. Note: please check what mount your TV requires before place your order. Do not pick the mount by the screen size of your TV. Will This mount Fit my Plasma TV? First check the weight of your TV. It must be less than 135 lbs. Second, look at the back panel of your TV. TheTV has mounting holes on the back of the screen, measure the vertical and horizontal distance between the 2 holes for the wall mount. If the vertical distance is within 2.95 – 18.9 inch, horizontal distance within 30.5 inch, then this bracket will fit. If you currently have a stand attached to your LCD TV this is usually removed prior to fitting the wall mount. Third, the width of your TV should be 32″ or above. Otherwise the mount is too wide to hide behind your TV. We have a smaller tilt mount for 23″ – 37″ TV in our Amazon store. Only the mount is being sold here, the TV and the quater are for display only. They are not included.

3 Stars Not the Best
First of all, the directions for using this mount are useless. It seems as if they had a standard (non-articulating) mount that they realized no one was buying and added the arm to it. The result is instruction that don’t show the arm but just a flat panel mount.

In addition, unlike other similar mounts, the articulating arm piece that attaches to the wall uses 6 screws (2 rows of 3) which makes it impossible for all of the screws to attach to a single stud.

Moreover, when attaching the arm piece to the standard wall piece the giant flat piece of metal is highly visable and unattractive for what I would like to see in a flat panel mount.

To make matters worse, the TV can easily slide from side-to-side on this giant piece of metal, which is not only cumbersome but scary….

1 Star Crawfish
If you plan to use as a fixed screen, then it’s great,

but if you plan on using the articulate, I don’t like it one bit.

I practically gave this unit away. The horizontal piece that is screwed onto the wall (parallel to the floor) and the vertical piece that goes on next is not what I call “secure”. It is the vertical piece that takes actual “pressure” exerted by the weight of the TV and the frame, “NOT” the parallel part. The vertical piece holes are only about err 6 inches apart (left and right) so how the hell do you expect me to screw both sides onto a stud (so only one side will be screwed onto the stud) when most studs are around 16″ apart? You might think that the pressure is partially distributed to the horizontal piece, but it doesn’t (unless you meld the two pieces together, or allow the vertical piece to fit first into the wall, then apply the horizontal piece). This unit is good if you have studs that fit perfectly on the vertical bar, or mount it outside like on concrete or something where you don’t have to worry about studs.

3 Stars Flawed But Functional

This is obviously a lot cheaper than most rotating wall mounts for large flat screen TVs. To some extent, you get what you pay for, but it works reasonably well. Installation is a bit challenging due to poorly translated instructions (lots of references to “wind” nuts, which you might think means wing nuts, but there are no wing nuts). Overall, not really high quality materials or engineering either. (One of the the lag bolts broke off in my wall, but I think I’m OK with the other 7.) In particular, be aware that this unit does tend to bend a little forward, maybe 5-10 degrees, due to the weight of the TV – I managed to offset this with some washers. I was only mounting a 37″ LCD, this tilt will probably be worse with a bigger/heavier TV.

But, all things considered, at a cost of 1/3 – 1/4 of other similar mounts, not a bad deal. It doesn’t have the rotational arc of some units, but it’s plenty for most applications. Despite the design deficiencies, it seems very well secured. Once you get it installed correctly it works well and actually looks pretty good too.

4 Stars All and All good Product
Good product for the price,Delivery time slower than expected,Snapped 2 bolts driving into stud. The only other issue is that We have a 32″Toshiba and the bracket shows from behind because it is meant to fit Larger Screens as well. All and All Good product. Ken, Maine.

4 Stars Just what I wanted
I wanted to mount my LCD TV to the wall, but discovered that the TV I purchased had an unusual mount pattern. I purchased and returned two other wall mounts. This product was perfect.

User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars An excellent TV
I did a lot of researching before buying this TV, and I have so far been very happy with the results.

The picture is amazing, of course. There is virtually no glare on the screen, which can be a problem for some plasma tvs. The blacks are incredible, and the colors have been great, even without doing any hard calibration. Setup was very easy. The sound is very good. Not sound system good of course, but you can easily get by without one. We’ve had some televisions in the past, including HDTV’s, with absolutely horrid sound, and this comes nowhere close.

Some people say that the THX picture mode is too dark. While it is somewhat dim, it is absolutely perfect for viewing in a darkened area for movie viewing. Adjusting all of the picture modes is very easily done, however for an out of the box calibration without breaking it in, THX is a very good option.

A very minor nitpicks, hardly worth mentioning really. The remote does not have a button on it to just flip through the picture display options (standard, custom, thx, etc), but rather have to go into a menu to access them. The menu is right on top, it’s not buried, but it would be more convenient if you could just flip through without having to go through that.

I have yet to experiment with the VieraCast options, so unfortunately I cannot comment on those.

Overall, an amazing tv, especially for the price.

5 Stars Outstanding
I have never owned a flatscreen before so I was trying to get the best for my money. I never considered a plasma tv, I always thought LCD was the way to go; I understood that plasma tvs burned out quicker, used way more energy, heated up to the point where they couldn’t be watched for long periods and of course I heard horror stories about image burn in. What I was delighted to find is that many plasma manufacturers have addressed these issues in their new tvs. This TV is energy star certified, which means its energy consumption is very comparable to many other LCDs of the same size (ie, almost identical to LG LH50 42″). The heat created/circulated in the tv is not an issue at all, even after watching the tv for several hours, the back of the panel is barely warm. and burn in is impossible with new orbiting pixel technology. Even more impressive is a new screen wipe technology, so that in case your tv was left on for a week solid, even then any trace of a burn in image can be completely erased. One of the best selling points of this tv is the lifespan, over 100,000 hours. thats almost double even the best LCD lifespans (60,000). As for the picture itself, let me just say you can not find a better picture than a plasma, LED can not come close. and the top of the line for all plasma TVs is panasonic. pay no attention to contrast ratio, every company has different ways of measuring that stat. Plasma is back in a big way, in a few years, the prices on these tvs are certain to go up.

4 Stars Very Good but not Perfect
The biggest problem with this unit, as with plasmas in general, is the reflection off of the glass of any lights near the viewer while sitting directly in front of the TV. To remedy this, I no longer use the table lamp sitting next to me. Instead I turn a table lamp on further off to the side so it doesn’t reflect directly back into my eyes. This is rather inconvenient if you are leisurely watching TV and want to read, if only during the commercials. Another minor problem is the distracting reflections off of the shiny bezel and base from lights positioned in other parts of the room (my lamp off to the side). Over-all, the picture itself is 5 star fantastic! I gave it only 4 stars because of the reflection problem. I wish they had it on a stand which would tilt and rotate so that the viewing position could easily be optimized to minimize the reflections. You can buy stands that tilt (and maybe rotate) but the one I looked at which tilted was quite expensive. The sound is unimpressive but I compliment it by also playing it through an amplifier with external speakers.

5 Stars Why is plasma losing the HDTV war?
I have been a home theater enthusiast for some time now and I am the type to upgrade every few years in a desire to experience the newest and greatest tech out there. I have had experience with old school tube TV’s, CRT rear projection, LCD and DLP rear and front projection, and LCD flat panel TV’s. As a gamer, I had never taken the chance on plasma due to “image retention.” That said, I have to say that I am SO glad I finally took the risk! After just a few days of use, I can already say that the G15 is the best TV I have ever had. I have yet to see LED, but honestly, I am not sure how picture quality can get much better than this. I haven’t even done any calibrating of my own. I just use the preset Game and THX modes. If you are in the market to buy a new TV, and you are a gamer and Blu-Ray watcher, then do yourself a favor and buy a plasma. I think I have finally found a TV I could possibly keep for a lifetime, assuming it stays alive.

picture frame-style mount for simple installation * fits select Samsung 40″ – 55″ ultra-thin LED TVs and 50″ ultra-thin plasma TVs * supports up to 110 lbs. * mounting hardware included *

User Ratings and Reviews

4 Stars Great Product at a High Price
Used this mount for a Samsung 46 inch LED TV. A little over priced but I bought this TV to hang as close to the wall as possible. No point in paying a premium for a thin TV and the having it stick put from the wall 2 inches. Product quality is A+. Very well made in fit and finish. Mounts TV securely to the wall and with the cables hidden in the wall, makes the TV float. TV hangs flat to the wall, no tilt. Good instructions and comes with a varity of hardware to attach to most kinds of walls. 5 stars for a well made well designed mount. 1 star off for the price. I’d buy it again.

4 Stars Very Happy with Installation Kit and Use
I had purchased a Samsung 46″ LED TV at Best Buy but they wanted listed price (I think $149) for this wall mount. So I checked Amazon and they had it for about half that price. The installation instructions were good. It comes with hardware for both a solid wall (wood/brick) and a wallboard installation. I installed it into wallboard. I was nervous about the weight at first but the hanging kit is very good and the work went well. Hanging the TV on the mounts is just like hanging a picture frame since the TV has a thin wire cable that hangs over the wall mounts.

5 Stars great
This product was about half as expensive as anywhere else and it’s the exact same thing. It’s been hanging on my wall for a few weeks now and haven’t had any problems.

5 Stars Great wall mount!
I purchased this Samsung ultra slim wall mount for my new Samsung UN55B8000 55″ LED TV. I have to admit that I was a bit apprehensive about mounting a $3K TV using such minimal hardware, but the materials and construction of the mounting system is very high quality. The ultra slim wall mount takes full advantage of the TV’s thin (1.2″) design and only adds a half inch when installed. Therefore, the total depth from the wall is less than 2″. Awesome! If you’re going to wall mount the 6000, 7000, or 8000 series LED TVs, this is the way to go.

5 Stars Super product.
The wall mount for our new Samsung 55″ television is perfect. The directions/video on you tube were great and my husband and I mounted our television with no surprises or glitches. The total profile, including wall mount, is a hair over 1 1/2 inches. Amazing. Well worth the money on Amazon.

User Ratings and Reviews

4 Stars Solid frame – good price – missing parts – really bad instructions
PROS

- It has a solid, well built, frame. Sturdy powder coated metal that looks and feels of a better quality than the price makes you expect.

- Mounted right: There will be no fear that your TV will tumble.

- The price

CONS

- The bolts/screws appear to be provided somewhat at random. Mine was missing washers and the parts bag was actually ripped open before I opened the box. I had suitable replacements in the garage, or they could probably be purchased for $1 at a local hardware store…not a big deal, but it could be a nuisance.

- Instructions are comically bad. Not a big issue, because you really shouldn’t need them.

CONCLUSION

At a discounted price – this is a good deal.

5 Stars I was skeptical…
I took a chance, against my better judgment. I asked myself how can a $25 mount compare to a $300 mount? I have 2 girls and I would totally shoot myself if my 52″ Sony Bravia (W series) ever fell on one of them. Well, I got this mount and I was already impressed. It is made of this extremely dense, slightly bumpy, but smooth to the touch metal. I mounted the first part to the wall and had my dad, who has owned his own construction company, to test it out. He approved by hanging his 180 lb body from it.

I did have to take a trip to Lowes because the screws to the TV were too long (20 thread). I bought 16 thread and added 2 lock washers, per screw, that already came with the mount. I also spent $30 on a good stud center finder because I wasn’t going to mess around.

I feel very confident with this mount and I am very happy to have saved a bunch of money. If you buy this mount, just take your time, watch a few you tube videos about hanging a TV, and use common sense.

5 Stars Holds a 46″ LCD display with no problems – Great value
I was surprised at how easily this went together and how solid it is given the price. The frame is four pieces and once you put them together they are together. Once they are on the wall nothing is moving anyway.

To put it together and mount your TV you will want to use your own level if you have one, although this (Black & Decker BDL310S Projected Crossfire Auto Level Laser) is *much* better, and also a tape measure, socket set, pencil, and refreshing beverage for when you’re done. That should be between 30 minutes and an hour from when you start. I was able to do everything myself and it’s even easier if you have someone to help you hook the display to the frame.

If all you want to do is bolt your TV to your wall (and maybe tilt it down a bit) I can’t see any reason to get something else.

5 Stars Best bang for your buck!!
I’ve never written a review on here but I had to for this product. It’s the best $20 bucks I ever spent. It was easy to assemble and came with all the screws and even a level, although I trusted mine more after I tested them against each other. I hung a 54″ panasonic from it with no problem. I was only able to use one stud but then used the two toggle bolts supplied and I hung from it for a few seconds to test it and it wasn’t going anywhere. I weigh 155. The only thing I really had to adjust were the two screws with the little slip bar . When fully tightened they stuck straight out. Just loosen them and push them out turn them just a little and then retighten them and they work perfectly and lay flat. The mount is also much lower profile than I expected. You really have to sideline it to see the brackets. I was able to run the wires easily in the wall and my tv looks awesome up on the wall now. Seriously, why spend so much on these mounts. Paying over a hundred bucks is just a scam.

5 Stars A fine mount at a reasonable price!
Mine was shipped quickly, arrived undamaged with all the parts required and the free level. From unpack to turning on the TV took a couple hours, but much of that was gathering tools and measuring numerous times to ensure correct TV position.

Assembly instructions: It would have been better if they had provided detail about bolting the vertical struts to the cross members. The bolt holes in the struts are not identically positioned – is there a top and bottom? Does the inside angle of the ‘L’ face the inside or the outside? Does it matter? Maybe it doesn’t matter, but a detailed picture of one of the corners would put the assembler at ease.

The package includes some nice lag bolts, a wall stud finder helps with placement, get those bolts into some studs and the frame will be going nowhere. The steel is plenty sturdy for the rated weight range. The package also included screws that fit my Samsung TV.

I suggest that people wanting the TV to be vertical adjust the tilt before hanging the TV, once it’s on the wall there isn’t much room to tighten the tilt clamps when you get near vertical.

Summary: Plenty sturdy, easy to to assemble, easy to install, and a fraction of the price of comparable units at the local electronics store. This one is a bargain!
