4 Stars Undercounter LCD TV mounting
I purchased this item to mount an LCD TV under the kitcken counter -replacing an old and heavy CRT TV. The unit is solidly built. I also recommend using through hole screws to mount to underside of cabinet as just a couple wood screws are eventually going to give out. The unit can be rotated very easily about the central arm. The unit can also be tilted-but only about the slotted axis-which is set only by how you orient and mount the slot to the underside of the cabinet. It would have been more convenient to allow some tilt where the back of the TV is mounted. This is particulary true of LCD TV’s – since you have to get the tilt correct to get the best view from the TV. Once you have the orientation like you want you have to adjust the tension using an allen wrench in irder to truely lock in place. This is a bit of trial and error-and if you ever want to fold it up out of the way-since enough tension to lock in place is usually too much to allow it to fold up out of the way. Considering some of the LCD TV mounts I saw at the box stores this is a bargain. If you are considering getting a small LCD TV to use with this mount make sure the TV has the standard VESA 4 screw hole pattern. Not all of the small sets have this feature.

5 Stars Very Pleased for RV Use
I needed a mount for my RV that would mount under the cabinet and not against the wall…. After going thru numerous forums to see what most where using this mount came out most. I like the way the mount plate to the tv has the little keyhole notches and can slip the tv out of the mount very easily if wanted…. tv will tuck up under counter and you can adjust the tension to what you want but most have put a little bungee strap under the tv to hold it in place while traveling with the rv…… You won’t need to do this if it’s for home use. Overall very satisfied with the quality and i would buy it again if needed.

3 Stars Generally Does what it says it will do
This stand is more than enough to hold a 19inch TV and holds just fine with the screws provided in the package. However, my cabinets are full wood planks at the bottom to support any screw you install. The TV will swivel to the right and left but does not fit below the cabinet to fold it up. i would still recommend this stand for people looking to hang their TV under the cabinet. it definitely clears the countertops.

4 Stars Works as advertised but….
Great product! Using it to hang a 22″ Insignia LCD from below a kitchen cabinet. The only thing that keeps it from getting 5 stars is that swivel issue. From another thread, stole the idea to use a small stainless steel hose clamp to act as a stop. The only thing I added to that idea was a nylon washer I got from Ace to put between the clamp and the TV, to avoid metal to metal chafing. Very clean appearance, almost invisible!

5 Stars fit my need perfectly
I have a digital docking station and a KVM to switch between work and personal computers. I needed to set up an analog flat screen monitor to accommodate a second work laptop. Now I can switch laptops with my KVM and move a monitor into position to use just one keyboard and mouse. My old wall mount monitor arm now holds the laptop table. The quality and the strength of the arms is perfect. When I upgrade my office equipment in the future, the arms will continue to fit my requirements.

5 Stars Regain your desk space while improving ergonomics
Just purchased this and have been using it happily for the last 2 days. The instructions were very easy to follow and I was able to get the whole thing setup in about 30 minutes and all I needed was a Philips head screw driver. One of the less essential parts was missing and when I called the toll free number on the Instructions booklet, and after waiting on hold for about 30 seconds, I was able to speak to someone and they apologized and will have it to me within a couple of business days. The arms are very sturdy and yet can move fluidly. They also look great, like something out of science fiction. Thanks to Ergotron, I’m able to “float” my laptop and my 24″ monitor and in the process, have regained my precious desktop space. I highly recommend this product for ergonomic reasons and for the space saving and de-cluttered look.

4 Stars With a Little Tweak, All is Well
With this product my search was over: I am very satisfied with the arm and the flexibility of the mechanism. It is well-constructed, employs high grade materials, and is beautifully designed.

Caveat No. 1: Like other reviewers noted, the positioning mechanism requires a bit of tweaking to align with the weight and height of your monitors and/or monitor+laptop combo. Apart from two lockng keys that help to adjust the height on the single pole, there is a single compression bolt or tension rod locking nut on the swivel arm that is critical to the mechanism. It works very much like old model swivel lamps that rely on one locking knob to hold its position. You half expect the droopy lamp phenomena here but not on on this device: while the locking system can indeed be tricky to manage, the solution is to move the monitor or the laptop temporarily out of the way so that you can properly adjust the bolt or tension nut. Positioning the locking system perpendicularly and directly behind the monitor/laptop is a bit of an odd design choice.

Once set in position, you can forget the swivel since the tension is now weight-adjusted. I can constantly change the height and extend the arms, with no loss of tension or inducing a recoil effect.

Caveat No. 2: The reason I haven’t given a 5 star rating is that there is too much movement when typing on the laptop mounted on one of the arms. The solution is to use a separate USB keyboard and mouse. I use a KVM switch that manages two laptops and uses a single keyboard, mouse and audio input/output.

Caveat No. 3: While the laptop mounts are of good quality, I found the retaining springs (which is rather flimsy looking and another poor design choice) and brackets to be too short. I add a 3/4 inch thick cooling fan under the laptop which together exceeds the specs of the retaining springs and retaining bracket. Without the springs and brackets, the laptop would just slip from the mount. Not good! The work around is to reposition the springs and mount these on the cooling fan which is in turn held by the arm’s mounting bracket.

All in all, a great product with minor inconveniences and design compromises, which fulfills your expectations as long as you use the laptop mounted on one of the arms with a separate keyboard and mouse.

Probably one of the best dual LCD mount on the market, for the money. This unit makes my whole computer rig look ten times better just because this LCD stand looks so great!

Pros:

Cons:

Minor LCD wobble if you run/jump around the mount. This can be remedied by tightening everything down further.

4 Stars I’ve got some desk space back..
This desk mount dual arm has helped make my laptop feel like a desktop computer. Now that my laptop is off the desk I can fit my Wacom Tablet on the desk with the laptop being at the back of the desk.

The set up was easy enough. It took me about 2 hours to put it together. The instructions were helpful and complete with lots of pictures.

I went out and bought a 1080 HD 22 in. LCD monitor as a second display for my 17 in. MacBook Pro. The arms seem very strong and capable of handling the load. Because I can adjust each arm, I can align the displays to make it feel like one cohesive computer desktop. There is a lot of range of motion on each arm.

I also like the way the arms can easily hide cords in them without a lot of effort.

5 Stars Accomodates maximum desktop thickness of 1 7/8″
I didn’t see any mention of how thick a desk this unit could mount to so I figured it could mount to varying thickness. Unfortunately, my desk is granite on top of stainless silver frame so at 2.75″ it is pretty thick around the desktop edges. If you order this unit, be sure your desktop thickness is 1 7/8″ or less — or else the mounting clamp will not fit. Too bad for me as the unit is nice quality and the silver finish would have matched my stainless steel desk frame very well.

5 Stars An engineering marvel
The parts and instruction booklets (with many languages) looked intimidating, but it only took me 15 minutes to put it together (using the desk clamp option, with laptop tray to hold a 17″ Macbook Pro and a 24″ Samsung LCD.)

This is one of the products that really pay attention to details and do the right thing and free from WTFs. I’m very impressed with the build quality, ease of assembly and range of adjustments. It comes with two 100×100mm VESA mount extension plates (default is 75×75mm) which is needed for my 24″ monitor. Assembly tools (allen wrench etc.) are included.

Should’ve bought earlier and will buy again.

5 Stars Very Sturdy and Attractive for Dual Monitor Setups
I am using two big Dell 24″ monitors in portrait mode, and find that although this is probably above max rated weight for the product it handles them pretty well. Setup is easy and system looks good (for what it is).

5 Stars Just fantastic!
I was all set to buy a different manufacturer’s dual monitor arm. While surfing trying to find the best price I stumbled across a review of dual monitor arms that lead me to Amazon and the Lx. Wow! am I happy it did.

I have mounted HP 24″ and 19″ wide screen monitors. I was a little concerned because the specs said 22″ was the maximum but it holds my 24″ just fine.

The fit and finish of the Lx Dual Mount is truly outstanding. The assembly instructions are clear. All together it took me about 30 minutes to have it set up. A little adjustment of the tension on the arms and the monitors are held rock solid and still easy to adjust.

I love it when a porduct exceeds my expectations and the Lx Dual Monitors arms certainly did that. You won’t be disappointed with this!

4 Stars Very sturdy construction, man is it bulky!
So I really like the stand as a whole.

I am using it with 2 24 inch WFP2408 monitors from Dell and they look beautiful. I just wanted to tell everyone that the space of desktop will be available as you would expect, at least below the monitors, however you might not realize that the more room you have behind your desk the more flexible you will be able to be.

Because my desk is against a wall, I really do not have the flexibility to place my monitors anywhere I want and perhaps a more compact device would cut it down, perhaps not.

Additionally I did not see where it indicated the clamp would be sufficient to handle both 24 inch monitors so I drilled a whole into the desk and placed the stand through it securely tightening the apparatus. It is holding like a champ even when I am moving things around.

I am very impressed with the construction of the device I guess I just wished it could be more compact, but I assume there is a give and take with that.

5 Stars Great Monitor Arm
Pros: Holds my 24″ Dell 2407WFP with ease. I’ve got it mounted to an Omnirax Commander workstation and there is only minimal screen bounce when I have it fully extended towards me and I start banging pretty [...] the keyboard (more a fault of the desk/workstation, not the arm).

I also love how easy it is to rotate the monitor into portrait. This is a GREAT feature.

I adjusted the tension screw for the weight of my monitor, and was surprised when it actually stayed put. I was really dubious of the arm’s ability to stay where you put it with a 24″ monitor mounted, but it works fantastically.

I will be purchasing more of these for my two other 20″ monitors in the very near future.

Cons: Cable management on the section mounted to the post is pretty much worthless. Once you’ve got a DVI cable or a mildly thick power cable in there, there’s no room for anything else. There’s just barely room for a DVI and power cable on the first section (with no hope for USB in addition to power and DVI). A USB cable seems like the ONLY thing you could really get into the second section. No big deal; just spend a couple bucks on some cable ties.

Also, you might want to think about a 15ft. DVI cable and an extra long power cord if you plan on running your cables along the arm. That’s what I’ve got, and I can’t imagine having anything shorter.

I was also a little worried by the shiny plastic on the sides of the first arm. It’s just a shell (part of the “cable management”), but it makes you worry that the thing will be flimsy when you pull it out of the box (don’t worry –it’s not). The other parts are all nice, solid, matte-finished metal.

5 Stars Exactly what I needed
The product is as solid as I could have hoped for. The metal components are very heavy and well constructed. The plastic feels solid and reliable. The flexible plastic does not feel like it’s going to break when being bent. The adjustable spring tension meant even my heavy 24″ Dell LCD was supported without any issues.

The spacing for the cables is tight when you have power and video, but they both fit snugly, keeping the desk clear of cable-clutter.

The instructions are easy to follow and come in a large variety of languages. All the necessary components were included, including a plate for larger monitors. The monitor arm was very easy to assemble.

Definitely a recommended purchase – I’ll only buy these monitor arms in the future, and will recommend them to anyone that asks.

I use it for a 23″ flat screen and it works fabulously! I was skeptical at first because it seemed too cheap(compared to similar items I priced), but I’m glad I took the plunge! I’ve had it for over a month (mounted to the side of my desk. Every once in a while I check the knobs to ensure everything is tight (just to be safe)but no problems so far. I needed an arm to ensure the monitor sat in an ergonomic position. It moves in height, rotation and angle. This product exceeds my expectations and the price is phenominal. My only precaution (no fault of the product) check the monitor mount (my 2nd monitor sits on a stand with no mounting area on the back), bummer. There’s likely a way around this, but I’m not the ‘handy’ type. 2 Thumbs Up!

5 Stars Awesome arm with outstanding quality
I bought this to support a Dell 24″ monitor to my left. I have a 27″ Dell in the center and a 20″ Dell on the right. This is without a doubt a quality piece of engineering.It took (5) minutes to set up and you are ready to go. Even comes with all of the hardware and tools required.

As the previous reviewer said, the arm shipped with two different mounting systems. One, a heavy duty desk-edge clamp, would probably have worked fine, but I opted to use the other one – a 5/16″ bolt passing through a hole drilled in the desktop. Using the bolt allows the screen to be moved to any position without worrying about the clamp coming loose. The heavy duty arm has no problem with the weight. I probably could mount a much larger monitor without a problem! If you are on the fence….I highly recommend this product.

5 Stars Perfect
Theres not much wrong with this thing. I got it for my husbands screen over his mixing board (he makes records, and the screen was very far away and too high over his board causing neck pain). It clipped right on, however, silly thing that I was didn’t check if his existing screen fit this arm. It didn’t. Oh well, had to buy another screen – he got an even bigger one, but it was worth it for his comfort. He loves this thing. It articulates so well. He brings it forward when working in protools, and pushes it back for mixing on the board. It’s great, and he appreciates it.
