5 Stars Glad I got it
I bought this arm to place a display on a wall near my informal dinner table. I wanted to use this display to show slide shows of my family photos, video streaming from Netflix, and occasional web browsing in the kitchen. I drilled a hole in the wall and connected the display to an old computer on a shelf in the bathroom on the other side. I paid extra for this arm because of the height adjustable feature. I’m glad I did because it makes the display a lot more useful. I could extend and lower it to almost desktop height and use the dining table for my bluetooth keyboard/mouse. Otherwise, I wouldn’t be able to browse without sitting on the table
5 Stars You won’t find better. Period.
I absolutely love these things. I’ve purchased two to mount my 22″ HP 2207h LCD monitors.
- The tension on the arms can be severely fine-tuned to be just the right balance of resistance and free-movement.
- The construction is durable with a refined quality, and the finish is completely suitable for use in a professional environment. The plastic wire guides, while functional, are a bit flimsy, but overall, they serve their function well.
-It allows greater forward-tilting of the monitors vs. their default stands, and in fact, you can swivel these in just about any direction / position you can imagine
There are so many options out there for this type of mounting, it’s difficult to know where to begin. I can tell you that of all the options I’ve looked at over the past, when comparing price, ease of use, appearance, and function, I sincerely believe you will not find a better product anywhere.
5 Stars Excellent wall mount
I have checked out many wall mounts in several stores and web sites but none was as flexible and pleasant to see. It can hold a 20″ LCD terminal easily and in many positions. Reviews were very helpful. After getting the first one and using it for a couple of weeks, I got a second one. Range of movement and tilting is incredible. Check out the other products from Ergotron in their web site also.
One of the options that Amazon offers is an extender which is not needed because it comes with one already. It can extend it about 2 feet from the wall. (Unless you want to extend it farther than 2 feet).
5 Stars Very sturdy – Great quality
This is a superb quality arm. I use it with a laptop tray that can be ordered separately. I have it installed in my kitchen. The reach and flexibility in all directions is great. The arm never wobbles. Most importantly, the springs are awesome. It works great with smaller/lightweight (Sony VAIO) and bigger/heavier weight (DELL latitude) laptop computers. You do not even have to adjust the springs when you change between these computers. Installation takes at least an hour if you want to do it well. However, ones installed this is a great way to keep your laptop easily accesible.
5 Stars Liked it so much, I bought a second one.
I’d been looking for a wall-mount solution for my 20″ Cintiq monitor for some time: one that would allow for using the Cintiq as a regular monitor in my two-monitor setup as well as being able to pull it towards me and rotate it for drawing on. The product description is mostly correct; it does rotate 90

5 Stars Great Mount.
I bought this mount for a Toshiba 32 inch before I had the TV. This mount came with the mounting plate for 200mm x 200mm which is a great feature, unfortunately the Toshiba uses a 200mm x 400mm VESA mounting scheme. After a trip to Home Depot and some measurements; a cut here and a hole drilled there I was able to make it work for me. One advantage of engineering your own mount is some additional space between the wall and the TV.
The mount itself is great. I particularly like the rotation feature, it can be rotated 180 degrees either direction from center. The only thing stopping this mount from going 360 degrees is the cords for the TV. Since the mount is screwed directly into the studs for mounting it’s quite strong and should have no problem with TV’s up to 37 inch. Had I not had the issue with the mounting to the TV I could have had this unit in place within half an hour. The directions that came with are a little confusing what with all the different languages and being a bit vague but with the pictures they are easy to follow and should be able to guide anyone through installation. All in all a worthwhile purchase.
5 Stars Great compact mount
Used this mount to hang a 19″ Toshiba LCD/DVD in my boat. Nice system – really shallow and still allows full range of motion adjustment. Good access to set screw and tension adjustment knob as well. Worth the extra dollars, and I would recommend over others I have used.
5 Stars Works Great!
This product works great with our new 26 inch TV. There isn’t much range of motion to the sides with this combination of tv size and the product, however.
5 Stars Easy to install, great price
I used this for a 32″ Sharp LCD TV with rear AV inputs, and it looks and works great. I was initially concerned about having enough clearance in the back for the wires, but this has not been a problem.
The instructions were clear. I successfully installed this in 15 minutes or so, and I’m a relative novice when it comes to these things.
3 Stars Didn’t Work For Me
I used this to mount an Olevia 37″ on a flat wall. It seems to be of good quality and holds solidly to the TV and the wall but it didn’t work out for me. Perhaps my set, at 53 lbs. is a little too big for it. First, it only allows 15 degrees of tilt and swivel, which is very little movement, hardly worth the bother. I suppose I should have known that. Secondly, there is an adjustment knob you tighten to lock the TV into position after you adjust it (slightly) to the position you want. The knob is, of course, in the 2″ space between the TV and the wall. I found it nearly impossible to get a hand in there to tighten the knob; I could only reach it with outstretched fingers, and it is not shaped for a wrench or pliers. Ultimately I could not tighten the knob enough to hold the TV in position so it creeps down until the bottom edge rests against the wall. Perhaps with a lighter TV it would work fine. At any rate, I am buying a different mount with more swivel adjustment.

3 Stars Good Quality, But Hard to Install…
PROS:
The mount is professional quality and extremely sturdy. It easily holds the weight of our 42″ LCD TV.
The mount allows the TV to extend over 12 inches from the wall and gives a large range of angles for rotating the TV. It was important to us to be able to angle the TV toward the kitchen, sofa, or dining table within our condo. So we needed a wide range of motion. This was one of the main reasons we chose this mount.
Although the mount seems expensive compared to some of the Asian imports, the price is excellent for the quality of the mount. The TV is easy to move around after installation.
CONS:
Installation is a bear, and I mean a grizzly. The entire mount (less the box purchased separately) is attached to the back of the television. It takes two people to lift the TV with the heavy mount attached plus a third person to guide it into place. Most other mounts only require a bracket to be placed on the back of the TV so it can be lifted into place by one person.
The box (purchased separately) is installed between the studs. There is very little room for adjustment to center the TV on the wall. A mount that installs on the surface of the wall is much more versatile.
The TV, when installed, is not centered on the box. If you are expecting the TV to be centered between the studs, it will actually be offset a little to the left. This is actually a plus for my installation, but it was not what I expected.
The box in the wall has a punch out for running cables in the wall and an electrical box. The hole for the low voltage cables does not allow a standard grommet to be put in place. The outlet must also be installed before mounting the TV or you will not be able to get the electrical box in place.
I purchased this unit in an attempt to get a more flush look with the wall. Because the mount is so big, it sticks out more than a flush mount.
I will probably not use this mount again. It is just too difficult for one person to install. We can get similar performance without needed to cut a big hole in the wall with a different style mount. Other mounts are also easier to install. We will probably go with a Premier Mount for our next flat screen.
5 Stars great mount
I needed a mount that had full articulation (sofa and chairs are to the right of the TV, so I need it to pull out ~30-40 degrees and also wanted to be able to tilt down ~5-10 degrees). I also wanted my TV to sit as flush to the wall as possible, which lead me to this Sanus.
I mounted my 52″ Sony XBR4 myself. The mount is listed as 30″ to 50″ displays, but as long as you are under the weight limit and within the mount width of the crossbars it’ll work. Install was easy, and it holds the weight with no problem. I needed to position the TV a little left of center to make up for where the box fit in between the studs to get the TV centered exactly between my fireplace and the side wall. This is great flexibility… just be aware that you cannot shift the TV more than a few inches or it will start to rotate slightly from the off-center weight.
Anyway, mount looks great, works great, and I’ve gotten many compliments. I highly recommend this mount!
4 Stars It’s a good mount, but…
This is a good TV mount, but:
1. The box for the wall does not come with it, you have to buy it seperately.
2. The TV still stands out from the wall about 1 1/2 inches.
3. It was really difficult to attach the TV and mount to the wall box. It took 3 people.
4. It’s pretty expensive, considering that you also have to buy the wall box to mount it.
5. The screws that mount the frame to the back of the TV were too short for our TV, necessitating a trip to the hardware store. It comes with several sizes of screws and washers to attach the frame to the TV, but none of them worked.
6. The frame on the back of the TV blocks access to some of the connections on the back of the TV.
The good points:
1. It is really sturdy. We don’t worry that the TV will fall.
2. The swivel arm makes it unneccessary to take the TV down to access the back connections and run the wires through the wall.
3. It hides most of the mount in the wall, when viewed from the side, if the TV is pushed back as far as it will go.
We’ve already got it up (which was a major project, let me tell you), but if I had it to do over again, I would get the mount from the manufacturer of the TV, even though it was a tad more expensive (but it was electriccally adjustable and controlled by the TV remote). I like it that the box in the wall hides a lot of the “works”, but the problem with accessing the connections is likely to be ongoing and irritating.
4 Stars Good quality, but you need to be aware of a few things
The product literature claims that it fits virtually all flat-panel TVs up to 50″. It doesn’t fit TVs with an 800mm wide bolt distance (which includes my 47″ LG LCD). The horizontal rods that you see in the picture are just a couple of inches too short. It can be made to fit by getting longer 1″ diameter steel tubing, if you have to.
Also, the in-wall box that is recommended (and shown in the picture but sold seperately) is actually required, unless you are willing to fabricate your own alternative.
The quality is great. The instructions are adequate, but could be better.

5 Stars Super Sanus Systems VMDD26B
Wow, im impressed. This super sanus system TV wall mount is amazing. The motion of these arms are fluid. In, out, tilt, twist. It moves with ease. It looks sharp, its easy to install. Its incredibly strong. I would definately recommend this product to anyone who wants a great looking wall mount…
5 Stars works greqt
super sturdy, very high quality. there was one wierd insert page of the instructions that i believe were for a different model by Sanus, because in the box i got, that step appeared to have already been done. Holds our 52″ samsung perfectly, with enough range of motion to swivel it so we can watch it from the kitchen, which was exactly what we were looking for.
5 Stars Perfect for what I needed
I wanted to use this in conjunction with an enclosing tv cabinet so needed a mount for my 50″ plasma tv that was sturdy and would colapse close to the wall. As it was going onto a wall near a corner it needed to also have a lot of flexibility with angling. This mount works perfectly. It is only about four inches from the wall to the back of the tv and allows the mount and tv to colapse iside the 9 inch depth cabinet. It has great flexibility with angling and comes out of the cabinet far enough that the cabinet does not restrict the angling of the tv. It is very steady with no sag even fully extended. There have been a few that complained about the lag bolts and instructions but I thought instalation was simple and straight forward. I put a little soap on the lag bolts to reduce friction and they went in easily with no problems. I did a lot of online research before I bought this mount and I have no regrets and would definitely choose this one again in a heart beat. If there is a better mount out there for what I wanted, I could not find it.
5 Stars Fantastic mount
I bought this mount after a couple of hours of Internet research. It came down to a choice between this one (Sanus VMDD26) and one from monoprice.com, which costs significantly less. I just wasn’t convinced that that the monoprice mount would have the same quality and ease of movement as the Sanus, so I went with the Sanus mount. And wow! I’m blown away by its quality and durability. It’s heavy, well-built and has a great shiny black finish.
I hung a Panasonic 50PZ85U (50″ plasma) which weighs just over 100 lbs. Repositioning it is so easy because each of the joints on the mount allow the TV to smoothly glide as you push/pull it. I don’t see any sag in the unit at all and all the joints are tight (there isn’t any “play”).
The installation was simple (took less than 90 minutes), although you’ll probably need at least two people to finally hang the TV on the wall. The mount that is attached to the TV is probably 40-50 lbs and when you add in the weight of the TV, it’s too much/dangerous for just one person to deal with.
I wasn’t sure how it would look wall mounted, but I absolutely love the look now. Having the TV “floating” in the corner is such a cool and clean look, and it frees up the top of the stand for more components.
I don’t know how the monoprice.com mount performs, but I know I got a great mount from Sanus. I highly recommend it.
4 Stars Solid Performance
Very solid product. Instruction for self installation were a bit confusing so take your time. It is hold a 52 inch sony TV. The Articulating features are great.
