5 Stars Great tool for the job of wall mounting a LCD/Plasma.
I have been using the OmniMount UCL-XB for about a year now. I am using it to mount a 42″ Visio LCD on the wall in my 105 year old house.

Unlike the reviewers that had problems with mounting due to stud spacing with in there walls, I lucked out and this mount matched up very well. I ended up using four 3″ Lag Bolts/Lag Screws, but once the mount was up I was able to hang from it my self (about 215 lbs.). Insulation took me about an hour and a half, and make sure you have a friend. It goes a lot smother if you have someone to lend a hand and help hold this and the TV up.

I have not used the integrated cable management system (just have not gotten around to it, lazy I know) but the ability to pull the television away from the wall, I would have to say at least two feet is great for hooking up everything. The mount is a little stiff, and it takes a little muscle to accomplish this, but I would rather have a mount that holds a little too well than one that allows my TV to move too freely.

I am extremely pleased, even if this is the most expensive mount I have seen. I am very confident that when I finally upgrade to a 60″ this will be able to take it with out any issues.

I wanted this tv mount for a while and finally got it. It’s an excellent product, high quality and fully functional.

5 Stars Nice wall mount
very sturdy, seems built to last. I was willing to pay a bit more to get the features of this mount. I was worried the quality would not live up to the price but thankfully I was wrong, this is a great mount. You will need to be able to follow instructions by pictures as there is not a lot of discritptions. Bottom line: I am very happy with this mount and I would order this product again.

5 Stars Great Mount
The mount itself is high quality and very easy to install if you have some basic skills. I was very picky on the install and it only took me an hour or so. It is a little more expensive than other mounts, but I wanted to make sure it would work well and I wouldn’t have problems adjusting the TV when it was on the mount. The TV can swing or tilt with ease. Very stable and sturdy. This mount will last longer than I do.

Only issue I had was with the shipping. Bought from 6th ave- first box was all beat up and some of the plastic covers were broke – returned for replacement. Second box looked great, but when I opened it there still was one broken plastic cover. This time I emailed OmniMount instead of returning cause it took so long to get it replaced from 6th ave (3 weeks). OmniMount was very helpful. They had no problem sending a whole new set of covers.

This OmniMount is an excellent product. It is very easy to install and once you put the mount on the wall you are all set. The company that sent this product provides good service. The shipping was very fast and the product was not damaged. Overall this was an excellent buy!!!!

4 Stars Nice look, easy setup for the price. Cable management system is a challenge…
For ~$90, this shelf system is worth it.

No problem setting this up. The instructions aren’t very detailed, but assembling the shelves was fairly intuitive, so this isn’t too much of an issue.

Visually, the shelves are aesthetically pleasing (in plain english, they look real nice). The pictures don’t do this product justice. You can move the three shelves to various brackets on the main mount.

The one drawback is the cable management system. If you plan on running more than two HDMI cables under the plastic covers, take note: carefully tie two cables in a bundle on either side of the cover/center frame (i.e. two cables tied in a bundle on the left side of the mount, two cables tied in a bundle on the right). Otherwise, the plastic covers will pinch the cables when you try to snap the cover in place.

4 Stars Great Shelves to Mount under your TV!
This product does take time to put together correctly, but when finished it is great. It is just enough space to store everything you need under your flat screen tv.

The shipper was extremely fast with sending this out to me. I would for sure purchase another product from them.

I pretty much agree with the other reviewers on the manual and to a lesser degree, the cable management. I thought the cable management could have been better designed by just increasing the channel size, but wasn’t as poor as some reviewers reported. I have the following equipment and cabling in the cable management:

My only real complaint is the shelves are not perpendicular to the wall. The wall is good, the mounts of the shelf system are tight to the wall, the shelves just slant forward. Not a big deal if you only view it from the front, but if you are viewing it from either side, its pretty obvious. Overall, easy to install and a good price for what you get.

Pros: inexpensive; sturdy; contemporary look jet glass/metal finish

Cons: If you have a lot of cables esp >3 HDMI and component cables it is extremely difficult to hide them as the wire concealer given is thin

3 Stars Looks great if only used for the light equipment
As everyone else rated this item; the instructional manual needs work, but the mount is definitely stylish in appearance.

It should be only mounted on the wall studs or concrete walls (which was my challenge to mount it on exterior wall of a Florida home).

I didn’t have any problems with running the cables in the channel provided; just be patient/careful not to nick your thicker expensive cables when you slid them in.

The biggest problem with this product is that it can only be used with light equipments as illustrated in the catalog (light speaker, small VCR, Cable box). With anything above 10-15 lbs the shelves start sagging as it happened with my Receiver surround amplifier of 20 lbs.

The second problem is with the insufficient depth of the shelves; they are shallow and cannot accommodate for the wiring on the back of many equipments. My Dish Network satellite receiver and the amplifier are sticking out so far over the glass shelves that they seem they’re going to fall off any minute.

Bottom line; Buy it only if you want to set it up just the way the catalogs has shown (shallow, light-weight equipments)

5 Stars Great HDMI Cable
I have purchased 5 of these HDMI cables. They are great quality for the price. I have unplugged these and plugged them back in multiple times without having any problems like some of the other reviewers. They provide a great picture and audio quality. These compare with the more expensive cables at almost 50-70% less cost.

2 Stars Works great, but never unplug them!
Works great! The cable itself is high-quality and seems to be well shielded. Like other reviewers, when I unplugged them to move the equipement, the inner portion of the plug stayed with the equipment! There is no way to have it fix.

4 Stars Great HDMI cable
I have this connecting an Oppo DVD player to a Panasonic Plasma TV and it is sending a high quality signal so far. I haven’t had any problems. It looks and feels heavy duty. A better deal than name brand and/or store bought HDMI cables, too.

The item is exactly what you’d expect when buying a high end product at a low cost. Are these the best cables you can get? no, but they’re good quality for passing the HD channels to my TV and they were rugged enough to be passed through the wall. All and all, for the price and quality I would recommend this item
