We had our 52″ Bravia professionally installed, but we had to buy the mount ourselves. This mount works great!

3 Stars Good mount
I used this mount to hang a 42″ LG plasma. The instructions were not as clear as my peerless mount. They didn’t explain which bolts to use and when I went to the OmniMount website and downloaded the instructions they were different but explained the installation better.

4 Stars Bracket a sanp
The install was eazy enough. I tryed to over think it but made it through. The instruction were a little confusing for the small amount that had to be done. The lag bolts that are used to connect to the wall seemed to be a little over kill but I guess for a heavier set it may be needed. Hanging the the set was eazy and I did it about four times with help. The ability to lock the set to the wall is nice. I would use it again it looks good and is sturdy.

1 Star Be Careful: Avoid the Top Slots
There is a real problem with these mounts unless you buy the right one. I have seen 2 types of Omnimount vertical mounting bars. One has holes for the top screw that goes into the TV and a slot for the lower screw. The other type, like this one pictured, has 2 slots. With the 2 slot model, the screws have to be really torqued down to stop the TV from sliding down because of the weight of the TV. The potential to strip out the threads on the TV’s back panel is very high on a heavier TV (>32″). Look for the mount that has holes for the top screw. On a light TV it may not matter, but why Omnimount uses this for a 32+ inch TV is beyond me.

4 Stars Solid frame – good price – missing parts – really bad instructions
PROS

- It has a solid, well built, frame. Sturdy powder coated metal that looks and feels of a better quality than the price makes you expect.

- Mounted right: There will be no fear that your TV will tumble.

CONS

- The bolts/screws appear to be provided somewhat at random. Mine was missing washers and the parts bag was actually ripped open before I opened the box. I had suitable replacements in the garage, or they could probably be purchased for $1 at a local hardware store…not a big deal, but it could be a nuisance.

- Instructions are comically bad. Not a big issue, because you really shouldn’t need them.

CONCLUSION

At a discounted price – this is a good deal.

5 Stars I was skeptical…
I took a chance, against my better judgment. I asked myself how can a $25 mount compare to a $300 mount? I have 2 girls and I would totally shoot myself if my 52″ Sony Bravia (W series) ever fell on one of them. Well, I got this mount and I was already impressed. It is made of this extremely dense, slightly bumpy, but smooth to the touch metal. I mounted the first part to the wall and had my dad, who has owned his own construction company, to test it out. He approved by hanging his 180 lb body from it.

I did have to take a trip to Lowes because the screws to the TV were too long (20 thread). I bought 16 thread and added 2 lock washers, per screw, that already came with the mount. I also spent $30 on a good stud center finder because I wasn’t going to mess around.

I feel very confident with this mount and I am very happy to have saved a bunch of money. If you buy this mount, just take your time, watch a few you tube videos about hanging a TV, and use common sense.

5 Stars Holds a 46″ LCD display with no problems – Great value
I was surprised at how easily this went together and how solid it is given the price. The frame is four pieces and once you put them together they are together. Once they are on the wall nothing is moving anyway.

To put it together and mount your TV you will want to use your own level if you have one, although this (Black & Decker BDL310S Projected Crossfire Auto Level Laser) is *much* better, and also a tape measure, socket set, pencil, and refreshing beverage for when you’re done. That should be between 30 minutes and an hour from when you start. I was able to do everything myself and it’s even easier if you have someone to help you hook the display to the frame.

If all you want to do is bolt your TV to your wall (and maybe tilt it down a bit) I can’t see any reason to get something else.

5 Stars Best bang for your buck!!
I’ve never written a review on here but I had to for this product. It’s the best $20 bucks I ever spent. It was easy to assemble and came with all the screws and even a level, although I trusted mine more after I tested them against each other. I hung a 54″ panasonic from it with no problem. I was only able to use one stud but then used the two toggle bolts supplied and I hung from it for a few seconds to test it and it wasn’t going anywhere. I weigh 155. The only thing I really had to adjust were the two screws with the little slip bar . When fully tightened they stuck straight out. Just loosen them and push them out turn them just a little and then retighten them and they work perfectly and lay flat. The mount is also much lower profile than I expected. You really have to sideline it to see the brackets. I was able to run the wires easily in the wall and my tv looks awesome up on the wall now. Seriously, why spend so much on these mounts. Paying over a hundred bucks is just a scam.

5 Stars A fine mount at a reasonable price!
Mine was shipped quickly, arrived undamaged with all the parts required and the free level. From unpack to turning on the TV took a couple hours, but much of that was gathering tools and measuring numerous times to ensure correct TV position.

Assembly instructions: It would have been better if they had provided detail about bolting the vertical struts to the cross members. The bolt holes in the struts are not identically positioned – is there a top and bottom? Does the inside angle of the ‘L’ face the inside or the outside? Does it matter? Maybe it doesn’t matter, but a detailed picture of one of the corners would put the assembler at ease.

The package includes some nice lag bolts, a wall stud finder helps with placement, get those bolts into some studs and the frame will be going nowhere. The steel is plenty sturdy for the rated weight range. The package also included screws that fit my Samsung TV.

I suggest that people wanting the TV to be vertical adjust the tilt before hanging the TV, once it’s on the wall there isn’t much room to tighten the tilt clamps when you get near vertical.

Summary: Plenty sturdy, easy to to assemble, easy to install, and a fraction of the price of comparable units at the local electronics store. This one is a bargain!

I purchased expecting something cheap and low quality for the money. The product shipped out quickly, looks great, was simple to install and works flawlessly. 1 Star Piece of junk
I bought one mount like this. It broke at the moment I put my 19″ Dell Monitor onto it.

I asked one installer to look at the debri. He said it had defect in the design. It may be OK for small screens. For large screen, it is too fragile. I did not bother to return due to their return policy. after 30% restock fee, the refund can hardly cover my return shipping cost.

So my lesson is DO NOT USE IT for anything larger than 15″. Otherwise you may lose your TV.

4 Stars Very nice quality for a low price
I purchased this wall mount to hold a 20″ Dell monitor. I also recently purchased two official Ergotron Desk Mount arms to hold larger monitors. At less than 1/4 the price of the Ergotron arms, this mount is much higher quality than I expected. While the instructions are not very comprehensive, installation and adjustment is very easy. The arm swings smoothly when needed, but does not creep once the monitor is in place.

Unfortunatly, due to the features of the wall where I have placed the monitor, I need a wall mount that provides height adjustment, and this one does not, so I will be looking for another solution.

This mount worked great for our 26″ monitor. I wasnt expecting such good quality for the less than $20 I paid for it, but I was really surprised. It holds good and you cant even see it under the TV! Worked out perfect! It was really small too, which I didnt think it would be either. I love this thing! Now if I could find a way to hide the cables!

4 Stars Works well, but doesn’t fit all TVs
The swing arm is sturdy. It fits many standard screw patterns. It has worked flawlessly since I installed it. The plastic cover that goes over the metal was a pain and required some modifications to get it to work in my situation, but worked and looks nice.

Installing the swing arm into the wall turned out to be an adventure. There were no studs behind the wall where I wanted to mount it, and the screw mounts sent with the unit just pulled out once a little weight was applied. You can solve this two ways – use a bit of plywood that can be attached to wall studs, or use some large drywall screws that are used to hang plants and such. I used the drywall screws as I didn’t want to try and hide a hunk of plywood. I had to drill 3 good sized holes, but they are hidden behind the swingarm wall mount. It turned out sturdy and secure.

The one other issue I ran into was I ended up replacing the orginal TV I bought with the swingarm. The new TV advertised they were mounting VESA compliant and yes, the screws did match up – But the TV mount bracket covered up the cable TV connection. Out came the drill and a metal bit, and a few minutes later They cable ran right through the mounting bracket just fine. The lesson here is just because the screws line up (VESA Compliant) does NOT mean the TV will be easy to mount.

When you buy a flat screen to be mounted, look to be sure the cable connection and other important connectors are point down, to the side, or up – but NOT straight back.

The addition of a swingarm TV to the front office was a nice touch – much appreciated by my wife. This hardware gets a recommend – with caution on the mating of the right TV.

The product was easy to install and works great per the other reviews. The hardest part was getting the TV onto the wall-mount but with the help of somebody else it only took a few minutes.

5 Stars Nice mount would buy again
This is a nice mount. It did work well, and is sturdy. The kit is complete and the instructions good. I used it to mount a 32″ tv and it worked well. You do have to check the mount pattern on your TV, but it will work with the sizes claimed. The tv is close to the wall, so cabling may be difficult. Tilt works fine. It is a bit difficult to hook the tv to the mount during assembly and for larger sets you may need someone to watch as you line things up, but once hooked it is secure.ONE THING I WOULD SUGGEST I used the adapter plate, which is needed for 200 X 100, and 200 x 200. If you need this plate buy an extra set of washers. The kit comes with 4 washers you need to use to attach the adapter to the hanger plate. I felt it was a good idea to use 4 additional washers when mounting the TV to the plate for additional surface area for the screw to grab. I would buy again.

4 Stars Good wall mount, great value
I’ve been using this wall mount for about 8 months now, and it’s been great. The tilt really helps reduce the color distortion that some LCD TVs have when viewed from an angle. I’m giving it a 4 out of 5 for two reasons. First, getting the TV pannel onto the wall mount is a little tricky if you’re doing this as a one-person job. It’s definitely doable, but takes some patience when you’re working with a larger TV/Monitor. Second, my TV has the inputs on the bottom/back, and when the TV is tilted the inputs cannot be reached. Of course, if your TV has side or top inputs, this probably won’t be an issue. But I would like to have seen a little more clearance between the wall and TV.

This mount comes with everything you need. It is easy to install. The only drawback is no swivel. I didn’t need swivel so this was the mount for me.

4 Stars Decent Product
I have a 22 inch TV mounted on it and it works great. The only reason why I don’t give it a 5 is because the TV is not completely level. However, I’m not positive that I am not the reason for the out of level installation. But since this is for a workout TV we use in the garagae and it’s not that out of level, I haven’t put too much effort into reinstalling it.
